Does your produce taste the same as “normal” fruit & vegetables?

Yes! Purposeful Produce would never sell something that we wouldn’t eat ourselves. Our produce is often rejected by groceries due to it being cosmetically imperfect: too small, wrong colour or abnormal shape. This means that nutrition and taste are not affected! At Purposeful Produce, we have strict quality controls to make sure you receive the most delicious produce. If you are not happy with a piece of produce in your box, then we also provide refunds for that item!

What makes produce cosmetically imperfect?

It is very difficult for Australian farmers to grow produce which looks the exact same. Sadly, perfect looking produce is strictly what all the large groceries sell. This leaves the other delicious fruit & vegetables left to be thrown out. Well, this was the case until Purposeful Produce entered the market! We sell produce that tastes perfect but is imperfect in appearance as it is deemed too big, too small, features slight blemishes, an abnormal shape or colour.

Am I really making a difference by purchasing fruit & veg from purposeful produce?

Your support to Purposeful Produce by purchasing boxes, TAKES A MASSIVE STAND! Together, we say enough is enough. We will actively choose to support local farmers, we won’t let perfectly tasting food go to waste when there are millions in our own country going hungry, and we will support those who are in that struggling situation by providing fresh produce. For each box sold, a plate of fruit and vegetables is donated to Australians experiencing food insecurity.

You are also making a difference in your own life. No longer do you need to spend time traveling and purchasing your own produce. No longer do you overspend on produce, as all our fresh fruit & vegetables produce are 20-30% cheaper than market value. All of this whilst you eat healthy and delicious produce!

My Account

How can I update my delivery address?

You are able to update your delivery and billing address in your account settings. Simply go to your account dashboard, and under ‘addresses’ you will see an option to edit them. Please keep in mind that you must change these addresses if you moved location at least a day before your order arrives, or you may not receive your produce box.

How do I change my email or password?

To change these details, simply log into your account on the website and go to ‘Account Details’ to change your email address and/or password.

If you have forgotten your password and cannot log into your account, follow the ‘lost your password’ prompt when you go to log into your account.

My Subscription

How do I skip a delivery if I am going away?

In this scenario, just cancel your subscription for the time you are away in the‘subscriptions’ tab which is located in your account dashboard area. Then when you return, you can renew your subscription by clicking the ‘renew’ option in your subscriptions tab’. Alternatively, you can simply order the box you want again, or a different box, by completing the same order process you did the first time!

How do I cancel my subscription? Are there penalties?

You can cancel your subscription in the ‘subscriptions’ tab which is located in your account dashboard area. Click ‘cancel’ next to the produce box subscription that you wish to end.

We want Purposeful Produce to make your life easy, which is why you can change or cancel the service without penalty. There are no hidden fees to worry about. As long as you cancel before your next payment is processed for your upcoming order, you will not receive any further deliveries.

How do I change what produce box comes each week?

In order to change the box that comes to your doorstep each week, you will have to cancel your weekly subscription. You do this by clicking ‘cancel’ in the ‘subscriptions’ tab which is located in your account dashboard area.  After it is cancelled, resume the same process you took to order your past box, but for whatever box it is you want now.

How do I change my delivery instructions?

You can change your delivery instructions anytime by emailing us with your updated requests at info@purposefulproducel.com.au.


How does billing work for each order?

Your weekly payment for our delicious produce boxes will automatically be taken out of your account by your provided payment method. This subscription fee will not change. If you experience any issues, please email us at info@purposefulproduce.com.au.

Is there a delivery fee? Why is it not free delivery?

Yes, our delivery fee is $3.95 for each order. You will see this fee in the checkout when you order a weekly box. Our produce cannot deliver itself sadly, so we have to charge a small fee to cover the costs of getting your box from the farms to your doorstep.

How do I use my coupon or referral code?

Customers can enter their code in the coupon and referral code section of the checkout. If you have any problems with your code, please email us at info@purposefulproduce.com.au.


Where and when do you deliver?

Purposeful Produce is located in South Australia where we deliver to over 150 suburbs. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver to every suburb right now. When you are at the checkout with your order, please enter your postcode to see if we deliver to you! If we do not deliver to your region, let us know at info@purposefulproduce.com.au and see if we can work out another method of getting our delicious produce to you! The delivery date each week is shown in your account dashboard and will be on a Monday between 8 am and 8 pm. We will let you know if this changes!

Do I have to be home to receive the delivery?

No, you don’t have to be home. We understand that our customers have busy schedules and may be one of the reasons they purchase from us. If you are not home, we will simply leave it by your door. If it is a hot day we will also leave a complimentary ice pack in there to keep your produce fresh! Other Questions

Can I sign up for a one-time order? Do I have to be on a subscription?

Unfortunately, you cannot sign up for a one time order. However, if you are wanting to try out one of the boxes for a week, then you can subscribe to that box. There is always the option of cancelling your subscription with no fees attached if for some crazy reason you do not enjoy your order!

How does your pricing work?

At Purposeful Produce, we pride ourselves on supplying delicious fruit and vegetables to our customers that is 20 to 30% cheaper than what they would have paid elsewhere over the course of a year. This is possible for two reasons. The first being that some of the produce sourced is rescued from farmers that do not have their fruit & vegetables accepted by groceries. The second is that we cut profit margins so that our customers benefit more than anybody else!

You don’t deliver to my area! What should I do?

We are very sorry if we do not deliver to your area right now – we are currently working on expanding the region that we deliver to. Please email us at info@purposefulproduce.com.au to see if we can organise a pickup arrangement of the produce box so you can still enjoy the delicious fruit & vegetables weekly!
